After two difficult years for our traditional ski race near Vienna—canceled due to lack of snow and then lack of participants—the APE has decided to reinvent the event!

 

To guarantee snow, great skiing, and a friendly atmosphere, we are heading to Tyrol!

On March 7 and 8, we are offering a weekend in Kitzbühel/Jochberg.

Thanks to a family from the school who have kindly made their magnificent chalets available, we are able to make this wonderful project a reality (accommodation and ski race included).

Come along and share this new format in the cheerful Tyrolean spirit!

 

A slight change to the schedule: the ski race will take place on Saturday at around 11 a.m. (and not on Sunday as initially announced).

🏆 The Ski Race: Saturday morning around 11 a.m. (not Sunday morning as initially announced)

The highlight of the weekend will be the race, an opportunity to get together and chat.

The categories will be defined based on registrations (family race, race by age, etc.).

 

➡️Not staying with us? No problem! The race is open to all families from the high school. A specific registration form is available for those who wish to participate in the competition only.

➡️Are some family members not interested in participating in the race? No problem either. The race is not mandatory. 😉

  

🏨 Accommodation & Logistics

 We have two accommodation options (15 minutes apart):

1. A chalet in Jochberg: apartments of various sizes with between 1 and 5 double bedrooms (and bathrooms) and a kitchen. DasKitz/Jochberg: Das Kitz - Luxus Apartments und Chalets in und um Kitzbühel

 

2. A chalet in Kitzbühel: large chalet with 5 double bedrooms (and bathrooms) and a kitchen: DasKitz/Reith: Das Kitz - Luxury Apartments and Chalets in and around Kitzbühel

 

Please note:

* Conviviality: Families can share apartments, but each bedroom has its own bathroom.

*Meals: We offer self-catering accommodation. Remember to bring your breakfasts, dinners, and picnics (a kitchen is available in each apartment).

* Our animal friends: Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in the chalets.

 

💰 Exceptional rates

Thanks to our host, rates are reduced to the bare minimum to cover operating costs (heating, cleaning):

* Adults: €70/night.

* Children: FREE (extra beds can be added to the rooms).

* Ski race: €15/person

 

NB: Prices do not include transport, ski passes, food, drinks, or ski equipment.

 

🚗 Transportation: Our recommendation

Although the Kitzbühel train station is about a 5-minute taxi ride from one of the chalets, we strongly advise you to come with your own vehicle. This is because getting to the gondola lift to take part in the ski race would require you to organize motorized transport again, as the journey is not feasible on foot with ski equipment and children.

 

Coming with your own car is therefore the most convenient option! In addition, some families will be staying in a chalet in Jochberg, a 15-minute drive from Kitzbühel, although very close to the Jochberg ski lifts, which are part of the Kitzski ski area.
